Hey @PhoenixKingZ, would you mind cleaning up the fish forums a bit? Thanks. I should be able to this weekend for a little bit.
Clean it up? Like remove any unneeded chit chat and stuff like that? Yes, I should be able to work on it more tomorrow.

It came in packets, which treat 10 Gallons each, it says to pour one in, wait 24 hours or something, do a PWC, and repeat 3 more times or so. They are pretty unclear, I am going to try Aquarium Salt first and I will update you all.
Ok, definitely keep us updated.

Ok, he hasn't got much worse over the past few days, I finally received my package with E.M. Erythromycin and Aquarium Salt! Would you say I should try Aquarium Salt first or Erythromycin (I would do salt baths)? How much Erythromycin should I dose if I end up using it? I assume I should continue PWCs. Thanks for all the help in advance.
What does it say to dose on the bag? I have no experience with E.M.

On my 75 gallon tank, I have a cascade 1200. I hate that piece of crap. What would you recommend instead?
I have a cascade 200 on my 10 gallon. I don’t like that filter much either.
I hear that FLUVAL canister filters are really good.

On my 53g I use the JBL CristalProfi e1502 greenline canister filter. One of the better filters I've had. Works great, much easier to open and clean than my old eheim canister (which was also really great).
On my 6 gallon I have the aquaclear 20 HOB filter. Works fine too, easy to clean and does its job. The issue I have is with the tank (Fluval edge) rather than the filter. Terrible tank.
During the rare times I set up a hospital tank I just use an amazon sponge filter with two media chambers for ceramic media on it. Works fine as any sponge filter would.
I never liked the internal filters I've used. My old fluval u2 was a pain in the neck. For me they go canister > HOB/sponge > internal. I have yet to try out a sump, but one day I will.
Sounds like some good setups!
Yes, I hear the FLUVAL edge really is a bad tank... It looks good though.
Why use a HOB on a tank as small as a 6g? Why not a small internal filter? 🙂
I don't like internal filters much. I don't like the look of them nor how they operate, HOB filters have been much handier for me. And unfortunately the fluval edge is the wrong tank to use an internal filter on. The opening at the top is too small and difficult to work with for me to bother. As far as tanks go, it does look really nice. But it's designed very poorly.
Makes sense. I’ve heard other people complain about the FLUVAL edge having problems.

Hey guys!
Just wondering what kind of filter you guys use and how it’s working for you.
I personally use Tetra internal filters. They are really easy to disassemble and clean. (I use these in my 29g and my 5g)
In my 10g betta tank, I have an API micro filter. It’s working super well right now.
